Wodify is an app which brings the social aspect to working out. It allows users to publish, track, and to build a community within the gym itself. We at Fireart were responsible for the complete redesigned framework which made it a lot more effective and user-friendly
Whenever preparing a workout plan, people usually have to go through a lot of apps in order to find the best exercises. The concept of Wodify is to combine all of them into a single effective flow.
We created cards in order to break the whole into related content and to make the screen of the device a lot more scannable and easier to digest. The original app failed to take advantage of whitespace and typography. Hence, in the proposed UI framework, the typography has a structured hierarchy level applied.
The workout of the day is presented to the user with a very neatly prepared calendar placed in the header. At the same time, information has been properly grouped, and organized, in order to make it aesier for the user to scan and read it
One of the most important additions that we did in the redesign was to insert a timer which matches the particular workout. This saves users time and allows to complete workouts faster and in better organized manner.
Sizing is critical
Another thing that we did through the redesign process to adjust sizing. Compared to the detail screen, the font was enlarged. This allowed the user to see the time and other important data from a distance without having to pause their workout.
Proper display of important information
When working out, users need to have quick and direct access to relevant information in order to make the right call while training. The last thing the user wants is to jump through screens to find their metrics. We improved the overall user experience by displaying total times, slowest rounds, and adding the ability to take notes.
Making it easier
We also made it much easier for the user to log workouts. We added a screen which allows it to be done quickly, without having to go through a lot of unnecessary steps. We know users are tired after a workout, so we had to take it into account.
By adjusting the Dashboard, we also made it very easy for people to access crucial information, that includes participants, divisions, events, and so forth.
We believe there must be an item with layers in the tool for creating interfaces, but it isn’t so important to show it constantly.
